Is this the time for two tone Rolexes?

I dont care about investments. I simply love watches, buy em as low as i can. Keep em. I do not resell.

That being said, i have a weird unjustified love for Two Tone watches. I know a lot of the community hates on them, but i like em I might enjoy looking like a Caracas drug lord or maybe i jusy like yellow gold (my wedding band, necklace and right arm bracelet are all 18kt yellow gold).

With everyone on a waiting list for steel sports models, grey market/used prices skyrocketing for SS, do you think it's this the time to actually get an amazing deal on TT watches? I love the 16613 the TT Daytona with black dial, and even the new Black Bay Cronograph S&G.

Thoughts?

Yellow gold sparkling in the sun as you gaze down to look at the time...I think it's a thing of beauty. Ignore all the haters. I have a SS watch and several SS frying pans- SS is over rated.

TT 6 digits are a bargain compared to SS. Specially if you are planning to keep it.
A SS Sub = mint TT Sub.

TT/DJ/PM is the Rolex and bread and butter unlike the SS sport pro so they will be easy to get, just make sure you ask for discount not pay full MSRP

Same here

I also like the new TT Sea-Dweller (126603), a lot. Can definitely see myself buying that in the future.

Cheers,
Joe

Love the TT CHNR more than the full RG.

Think a TT everrose daytona ceramic bezel on black or sunburst chocolate dial would be epic as well.

Oh the Bluesy hatred .

The TT black sub , TT SD and other
TT sports models all with black dials
Looks so bland , blah ... IMEHO....

The TT Blue Dial Sub AKA Bluesy is so unique and different.
Not to mention iconic and gorgeous... To each his or her
own I guess ... Visual for mental enhancement.

I think there is plenty of love both on the forum and in the general population for two tones. If you love it, get it. The two tone sub is beautiful, blue or black

TT is awesome!!!

Too many guys especially on TRF that still think

1) Rolex's are tool watches and are only meant for that. Anything in TT or Gold is a big no no. Fact is Rolex hasnt been tool watches for decades and they are nothing more than just jewelry these days.

Reality is gold is boss and it looks the bees knees. TT has been popular for a very very very long time. Its even more popular now.

So many celebrities, rappers, sports stars and singers all wearing TT that I see everywhere especially on my Instagram feeds.

Bought brand new black diamond dial TT Daytona 116523 for 11.5 back in 2012 after a heavy discount... wore it pretty much daily and just sold last week for 13.5k...

Best VFM at the moment would be a nice unpolished 16613 full set
Most beautiful TT at the moment in my opinion is the 126711CHNR

TT is back or never left. The current SS shortage is now driving the TT market. My AD has no TT Sport models now as the customers who wanted the SS are buying the TT's. If you want one now is the time to move on one as deals can still be had.

The market is really soft for the TTs.

The best value for money, imo are the TT Zenith Daytonas. What a steal!

Seriously, no, now is not the time for a "deal". Wait for the global recession, and then you'll see prices start to settle down, especially in the used market.

My next watch is going to be a bluesy, a deepsea, or a 36mm day date. I think the TT looks great.

I agree; gold is kick a$$ awesome on watches. Sitting next to them, the SS watches just look like objects from the old vintage movies - black and white.
