Where to find good aftermarket clasp?

I recently picked up an Explorer II from my AD and I wanted to get a Rubber B strap for it, but I really don't want to switch the clasp back and forth.

Where can I pick up a decent aftermarket clasp to just leave on the rubber strap? I looked around online but cant seem to find something that fits my needs.

Not sure how this discussion will unfold, being we're talking aftermarket parts, but eBay has several options that are ethically questionable. I don't think the products are counterfeit and some have completely different branding to distinguish themself from Rolex, but they are basically replicas.

Which Ex2 did you get? 5 digit or 6?

people talk about rubber b, everest bands and other straps accessories all the time.

We don't discuss fakes and replicas. I do believe this might fall into a gray area.

If the OP is looking to buy this for a 16570 you should be good to go (although I'm not endorsing this product, i know nothing about it), but if you're talking about a 216570 you might need a different sized clasp.

Switching the clasp from the bracelet to a rubber strap involves 2 screws and takes like 90 seconds. I do it all the time.

not everyone is comfortable doing it themselves and some people also just like have dedicated things.

I'm with you though. I do it myself and actually enjoy it. I would encourage the OP to think it over. Especially since it sounds like the 214750 which will be harder to source an aftermarket clasp.

I personally have no issues using screwdriver on anything. Even the smallest and most delicate parts. However, I wouldn't want to be switching the buckle around because I don't always have a loctite on me. So I will side with OP on this one.

To OP, I think you have 3 main ways to go.

1) Find/wait for someone who makes straps with normal tang buckle. (RubberB usually have it, but seems like it's not the case on Explorer II, Everest seems to have no 42mm Explorer II straps, or I couldn't find it)
2) Go on classifieds and get a buckle, it doesn't even have to be the same buckle, as long as width is the same (and I believe it is standard, but I could be wrong), you can fit a buckle from OP39, which will likely run cheaper and I lately like Oysterclasp over Oysterlock in terms of aesthetic or you can go all out and get a Sub clasp with Glidelock for extension and perhaps put Glidelock on your bracelet and original clasp on rubber strap.
3) Buy an unoriginal clasp that will fit the Rolex bracelets, therefore it'll fit the rubber strap. I do have to say that most of those clasps will be copies of Rolex clasps. Now whether they are ethical or not I don't know and frankly, as long as they don't stamp the logo on them or copy Rolex patented technologies such as Glidelock for example, I don't really care.
