Help with this Datejust 16030

I posted this in the vintage forum but didn't get any reply so I'll try here. I recently purchased this 16030 from a trusted seller on the forum. I had it sent for a service and when I received it from my watchmaker, I realized that the hands may not be original or correct for this watch. It is a Buckley dial with black Roman numerals. From what I've read online, it seems the hands should be black, ie. the hand color on a Buckley dial match the Roman numerals. The hands looked black in the seller's photos but they are actually silver hands.

I'd appreciate feedback from any forum members who may confirm whether the silver hands could possibly be correct and original for this dial. Thanks in advance for any help.

It should have black hands. They are getting almost impossible to source but with some effort and money it can be done. Aftermarket black hands are available and a watchmaker will paint a set of normal hands for you.

Very nice watch!

Thank you Richard. I appreciate your expertise. If you happen to have a source for original hands, please let me know.
