Three cheers to Steve 'Lol-x' and the Mods
I want to thank Steve 'Lol-x' and the Mods for providing a platform for the victims of a person (forum rules prevent me from typing a more descriptive term). TRF has allowed these folks to gather and expose a major problem.

That thread has to have been (and still is) a nightmare to moderate. Great job, gentlemen.

I really have to applaud TRF leadership for allowing that thread to exist and continue. Seems mods are doing a great job keeping folks in order while allowing such a scandal to unfold.
It’s really a great service to the watch community when you think about it.

Another reason why this is the best, well moderated forum (watch related or not) on the net. Steve and the mods let the true extent of the story come out in an even handed manner.

I really enjoy this forum. It has a very low douche factor, and I am confident much of that success is due to tremendous work by the mods, most of it unseen by the rest of us.
Thanks for all that you all do in various forum situations!

Three cheers to Steve 'Lol-x' and the Mods
I certainly agree that thread was a massive effort for the Mods - and they teamed up to keep it in the purpose for which it was intended by the OP.
The scam has now been fully exposed. Today, an excellent story on Time and Tide (which is now the top Google hit when one searches the scammers name) gave full credit to TRF for the exposé. That is a great testament to Steve and all the Mods. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I have to tip my hat again to the mods and TRF leadership for how this was handled.
As cheesy as it may sound, it makes me feel a sense of pride that the moral compass is sound here. I feel pride in supporting these forums both through my participation and annual membership. Well done TRF team. It’s obvious that it takes a TON of work behind the scenes to maintain such a culture on an Internet forum. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes - I think Steve closing it now was a good idea since it can spiral downhill - otherwise it would take continued massive effort + regular banning Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
