Need a little 619LB input

I have been offered a 116619LB Smurf, apprx 2012 model. They have all the links, no box and papers. While I haven't seen the watch in person, I have seen a cell phone video. It is a private sale, but my AD vouches for the seller. I am considering throwing a number at them to see if I might could score a deal. Generally speaking I avoid anything that is not a full set, but I'm believing a deal could be had on this one. Can you guys give a target number? Thanks.

No card on a modern Rolex? I would pass as I think it would be a tough re-sell.

Maybe offer 25k or so. A smurf 3 years ago could be snagged for 25k used (with B&P), so I personally wouldn't offer more than that. I think you can get new and with B&P for 31k right now.

Edit: assuming prices don't move in anticipation of discontinuing the 116619 for the 2 series.

Thanks. You are correct. My AD offered me NIB for 31K, just never came in - go figure. I was thinking of going way lower than that, like 20K. 2012, no box no papers, again you are correct thats a tought sell.

It’s definitely worth more than $20K. I think $24-26K is not a bad range to settle on. Still a full gold sports ref.

I would not go above 24. It’s an awesome watch. Always enjoy mine! Good luck.

$20k is a good offer number.

There was one complete here on TRF for $26,800 asking price. And that one probably went for $25k. Numbers are falling and falling fast for PM watches.

Depends on condition and service history. Watch is 8 years old with no box/papers. I would offer much less than your numbers.

Any Rolex without box and papers can be authenticated and have paperwork that displaces any doubts of originality. I don't think anyone is going to sell for $20k, but we are in a difficult spot at the moment. So if there ever was a time to buy at this price, then this may be the time. In real terms I think approx $25k would be the asking for an authentic good condition piece without the box and paperwork. So if $25k is the starting point all you can do is start your negotiations. Good Luck.

Agree, it is tough to re-sell or trade. Some of the grey dealer they are not buying any watch without B&P. I’ve just traded my 2015 116610LN with box but No paper,2 of dealer they passed it, 1 offered me very low price. If u can get a good price on that smurf and u like it u should go for it. If the price different about 1K-2K for me I would go the one complete set.

Agree. Make them counter, don’t negotiate with yourself.
