Will Rolex made a Daytona in 37mm

I’m getting used to small diameters, as we had a Day-Date 40mm, why not a smaller Daytona.

Cheers!

I think many members are struggling with the Daytona being "40mm" instead of something larger.

Imo, the current Daytona is the perfect size and shouldn't be increased or decreased.

Also, the SS Daytona is technically 38.5mm so it's close enough to your desired 37mm.

In my opinion the Daytona is already too small, hence one of the reasons I sold mine.

It wears small. If anything, i would like it increased by a few mm which will also help make it more legible

If you’re looking for a smaller sports watch the 37mm yachtmaster is a great and often overlooked option.

No watch should be larger than 40mm IMHO. Daytona is perfect where it is.

I think the Daytona already wears on the smaller size of 40mm...would not want to see it even smaller and I think it'd look cluttered with the 3 sub dials.

Rolex got the modern Daytona formula perfect right from the start and hasn’t changed much for more than 30 years, and I think it will stay this way for quite a while.

If you want smaller, look at vintage Daytona.

It's the same lug to lug pretty much as the GMT and Subs so not really small or big

Id lobby for 41mm for the daytona, which would really make it 40.8 by the way they do their calculations haha.

37mm for a sports model that uses a sports bezel would not leave a lot of dial real estate for telling time and chrono subdials.

Add to that Daytona is difficult to read at ~40mm

The modern Daytona since the 16520 is my favorite size and fit that rolex makes.

Early four digit Daytonas were listed as 37mm. The 16520 Zenith brought the larger 40mm case description. I have had a few of the 6 digit Daytonas and measured they measure under 40mm. So many enthusiast may consider the 40mm Daytona watch small especially by today's standards.

I doubt it. You might try a Heuer Carrera or a Zenith El Primero A384 if you want small and stylish.

It's not far off that now - the true size is less than 40mm. Imho they should make a larger version, with a date, even if they retain the current version.

They're 38.abit already. It wears more like a 40mm because of the pushers. A 37mm would be like a 39mm. Pretty pointless so standard Daytona it is and be happy. You should be.

It started out as a 37mm. My understanding is that nobody wanted one. Maybe some day people will warm up to those tiny, feminine, dainty watches.

I’m fine with a 37mm Daytona.
So was another “Paul”.

I’d wear this one anytime...

Given how close it already is to 37mm, seems pretty unlikely Rolex would shrink it. I'm surprised it didn't get bigger around the same time the DJ and DD did.

Good luck fitting the 4130 if the watch is 3mm smaller.
