Daytona waterproof question

I have searched the threads and could not find an answer so apologies for another mind numbing lockdown question...

On setting and winding my ceramic Daytona I left the crown ‘open’ but not the pushers.
I have cleaned / showered with my Daytona on since then.
All ok and nothing to worry about?
All looks fine from the outside!

I'm sure it's fine, but in the future get in the habit of screwing that crown down.

The sealing o-rings are inside, around the winding stem, not up in the crown.

Winding down the crown does keep you from pushing laterally on the crown and stem where you may distort the o-rings and let water in. However, that isn't a normal thing that happens.

On a watch with good, sound seals, leaving the crown unscrewed, by itself, will not let any water in to your watch.

Daytona has a triplock crown. even when unscrewed it is still sealed. You're good. https://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-bl...ifference.html

Thanks Larry and ‘Droolex’. Appreciate your replies.
I laugh at some of these ‘can i was my hands with a sub on’ threads but i was worrying and did not want it to occupy my mind on my 51st birthday.

Thanks for putting my mind at rest.

There are many many post on forum about the same subject about the Daytona crowns and pushers.Although its not advisable to fully submerse any Rolex in water with the crown fully unscrewed, it will still retain most of its water resistance .Now the screw down on the pushers are to stop you activating the chrono if not needed .But the pushers have activated and been tested on forum down at 30m by a French dive team without any problem. And the modern day Daytona with the crown and pushers screwed down has been tested down to 63m 207FT underwater without any problem. This depth would be far deeper that most recreational divers would dive they would limit to around 35m 40m .Even is the pushers are unscrewed no dust or water can get in the case even if fully submersed in water but not wise to activate fully underwater or have crown fully unscrewed.

Left to right, HEV, Chrono pushers like on Daytona Tudor range,Twin Lock,Triplock.
