Please use 2 Factor Authentication - A tale of hackery
We have had a few TRF members including myself get hacked. I personally do not click on anything and I am puzzled as to how my account was compromised.
These hackers (I am convinced it is a gang) are very convincing and will use your first name, will say "lets do a F2F" in your area (based upon your location), will disable incoming PM notifications and delete them once received. Either way for anyone that does buying/selling on TRF, please use 2 factor authentication and of course exercise the proper precautions... |

Looks like many high profile members have their login compromised. It seems unlikely that they've been hacked individually, and more likely there's a security breach on TRF. Not making any accusations but the plausibility of that happening makes more sense.

It’s not impossible that the TRF server was hit - but it is highly unlikely compared to the scores of members who openly post their email account in FS listings.
