OP39 White Dial

Is this model still hot these days? And it's been a long time since I've seen an oyster perpetual 36 available in the dealers.

Lately after spending 3 months indoor, I started to look for a new watch. Made a call to my previous salesperson and he said he has one in the safe. I tried on a black one few months back and the lugs felt too long for my wrist.

Anyone interested can drop me a pm. I'll hook you up to the salesperson, retail price at authorized dealer. I'll wait for smaller ones that fit better

Underrated, simple, but very practical, because without a date and in addition clear readings. Yes, it is a good watch to complement the collection or to start.

Looks good! Any discounts for it over at your place?

My wrist is small, around 6.3-6.4inches..

I recently put the feelers out regarding a Black Dialed OP39 with 2 of my local AD's. I pretty much got blown off. I was put on the list at one, but I'm not into kissing azz to get a watch.

Ended up with a Grey/Pre-Owned 36mm Explorer, which realistically was the watch I always wanted anyway.

YMMV, but yeah. Any SS model is "Hot" right now it seems.

I LOVE the OP39 in all dial configurations though! Good Luck!

My wrist is 18.5cm. And discounts for a regular customer on a model located in a boutique is a maximum of 6%. This does not apply to hot SS models, because these are records like everywhere.

Even the 36mm datejust here is categorized as hot model.

All Rolex Professional and Classic watches are hot these days.

White OP is certainly among those.

I recently picked up a white dial OP39. Put my name in at a couple local ADs and one not so local that I visit occasionally when visiting family. First two I had prior purchase history with, last one I don’t but a family member does. First AD estimated “maybe a year” for a white or a black dial OP39. Other two wouldn’t estimate. But, in the end, the last AD that wasn’t exactly local to me came through in just about two weeks time with a white dial one and I couldn’t be happier with it! Even set me up with an Easy Link for it which I understand not all ADs will sell for watches that don’t come with them.

So, in my experience they’re not exactly easy to get, but if you really reach out to a few shops you might get lucky in short order like I did.

Turned out great because the AD that came through is one I really like, great watch shop, and I’m super happy to start a relationship with them even if they aren’t quite local. They’re the only one of the three I’d actually trust to work on a watch for me.

White OP 39 is unattainable without a good AD relationship.

DJ 36 are not that hot in our region, although I will not say, they look lovely.

DJ36 is always a Classic. The cyclop, fluted bezel, the jubilee bracelet... they are the reasons we love Rolex.

Take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the classic OP line. Really not much more that you could as for from a watch, except for those who requires the date complication.

I owned the white OP39 last year. Beautiful watch with tons going for it...ideal size, brushed bracelet, low-to-wrist, simply/under-stated/classic look, very under-the-radar, hour markers at every hour (preferred vs some of the other OP39 models at 3, 6, 9 only). The one big thing that ultimately I couldn't get past was that the dial is NOT white. It is, in my opinion, a strange shade that can look either egg-shell, taupe, or wheat coloured depending on the light/angle. That may be great for some, but it turned out I preferred a more traditional pure white dial. So I sold it and bought a DJ.

Pure white can try GS. Their white is pretty.

In fact, OP 39 white has a texture with light grits, which changes its color from different angles from gray to light pink / beige. It is not perfect whiteness, which does not mean that it is not interesting. In my opinion, it's about the best of the colors of the current OP.

Imo better than the black one. Black one looks normal, similar to silver dial dj.. good for those who wants to go under radar

Agreed, the dial is not pure white, but that’s what I love about it. It often looks like a creamy silver color, sometimes straight cream or silver and other times it looks white as can be. Really depends on the lighting. Definitely something to know going in though because if you’re expecting a bright white dial all the time, this isn’t that.
