Explorer II QC

Just watched this video on Watchfinder about the explorer II - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4qzzhP8QKM

Check out the juncture of black and orange on the GMT hand - seriously?!

Maybe it's a fake? Nah, a fake would look better!

Rolex’s are mass produced. They are often not perfect I’m afraid. Through a loupe anyway

it's not just the Explorer II, the GMT Master and Yachtmaster as well have hand paint finish issues. pretty sure watchfinder made a video recently on the pepsi and there was obvious paint slop on the GMT hand.

Put the macro lens and the loupe away and just enjoy your watch. No good thing can come of looking at it that way.

Even the last Daytonas had some issues, APH dials and all (which increases price for some collectors)

Rolex watches are crafted with scrupulous attention to detail... Unless you actually look...

Hah. I couldn't help myself.

Yep many other YT channels doing review with macro spot highlighted the poor QC from Rolex on several models such as explorer 2, GMT but surprisingly nothing worst than Patek...
I think It’s clearly something to look at and can expect better work from brand like Rolex and even more Patek.

Yeah. I saw that. It was difficult to miss. Until the camera pulled back and the macro was switched off. Then it looked fine.

If this video has put anybody off buying one I'm sure that will be good news to the watch fans queuing behind.

If this is important, there are alternatives. Both from Rolex and other makers.

If you want to use a loupe, do it with GS or PP.
