Help! I've lost a bar
Kia ora everyone,
I can't seem to find the Open Bar thread . It was there on Friday and now it's gone. Anyone know what happened? Please say it isn't my computer, I just had it fixed Thanks in advance.

Hi Ryan
Can't help you my friend. I have been looking as well, not only for the bar but I also seem to have lost a lot of posts! Si

Yes they must have been deleted. Trurolexer's post count is now 11,400. It had been up above 21,000

Yeah, I noticed that the three word thread had gone too. Well I can kind of understand that, but why was the bar closed down?

Hmmm, that is odd. This morning, I noticed my post count - and could have sworn I had about 50 more posts than I actually do now. This would explain things (and it's nice to know I'm not crazy)!

I remember steve posti9ng in the bar thread to TR about closing it and no more pointless posts or something.
If the admin are deleting pointless posts...expect mine to be reduced to zero!!!!!!!!! Got to admit, I don't really care becuase although these things are fun, posts or threads like that are hardly a resource to be kept....I was thinking the same about the multiple baby book threads I have posted...once the baby book is done...the threads are useless (aside from the pics of that gorgeous little girl). Yeah, that's what I figured. It was just really strange that after reading that post, I couldn't find the bar thread or the three word thread. Freaky!

Poor old TR must be in a state of shock seeing his post count halved, I hope he and a few others recover. Three word thread started out as witty and fresh but seemed to be a vehicle for some to boost post count without great content which I guess might be addictive. Jimbo you and me better watch out

I wouldn't have a clue what my post count was before any thread was ditched...I gave up on worrying about that a long while back!

Yeah - I thought the 3-word should have been put out of its misery a long time ago!

Presumably in this democratic forum and world of ours there is a basis for what constitutes a post to be deleted, and everyone has been looked at individually?
I agree with Jim, its not about the posts, theres much more to TRF than that. I didn't join to rack up an impressive post count, its about much more. I have had about 1500 posts- about 50% gone of mine. I'm not bothered about the number, its meaningless, unless of course you wish to buy a watch. But more in the manner in which its done ,which has left a sour taste. Notification and a reason would be nice and when it was to happen and to who! Is the Girls Coffee shop safe? I'm off to get a drink to try and remove the taste Si

I hope they don't delete the coffeeshop...
Where would I go to pick up hot Rolex chicks. Fair enough my mojo works slow but even glacial ice gets there eventually! J |
