Today's Golf Group

So we had 20 people in our normal golf group today. Unusually large turnout, but the temperature was almost ninety.

When we got down and went inside to settle all the bets I could not help but notice all the watches. We had 8 rolex watches out of 20 people.

The list follows:

2 Sub Date 16610 (including mine)
1 Yachtmaster SS and Platinum
3 Various Datejust (one on a jubilee and two on oysters)
2 Sub Date "Bluessy"

Had a great day on the course (shot even par andwon $100) and then was in good company in the bar. On top of all this we had great weather and I got to see an incredible collection of watches.

No real point to the post just had to share the experience.

I enjoy taking pictures of watches in the wild but I think 20 guys who just got off the golf course would not have much sympathy for me wanting to take snapshots of their watches. Maybe I will try next time.

I golfed also today at a golf networking event. A player in my foursome had a 16613 (TT blue Sub) and I wore my Explorer 1. I also saw several Sub Dates and a few DJ's. I shot 12 over par, which is good for me.

Yeah I had a great time. I have learned just to have fun playing golf, I used to be so competitive. Now it means a time to relax and be glad I am not at the office.

What could be better than a day on the links, 100 bucks in the pocket, and the spotting of multiple Rolexes!

The thing about it is I am not a big gambler at all. The game we play you put $20 dollars in the pot. Winning team take all and the pay all the skins as well. The most you can lose it $20 thats what makes it nice.

Well done!

As an avid golfer who lives to play, I could care less what the other guys watches are,
especially if I shot even par.
I'd be buying everyone a round of drinks with that $100 and would get a picture of me smiling with the scorecard for future spiritual uplifting.
