New Radiomir Running Slow
Hi folks,
I just acquired a new PAM 753, manual wind Radiomir, that I really like as it is so different from the other watches in my collection. However, after a week, I see that is running about 10 spd slow - based on 6 position average on my timegrapher (full wind), as well as on wrist performance after a week. This is much lower than what Panerai noted in their test data that came with the watch. All else - positional variation, amplitude, beat error - is excellent. Do you think I could send it in now, under warranty, for a regulation; or, has it been your experience that manual wind Panerai watches need more than a week to "settle"? I suspect it might settle a little more, but not much. Thoughts? Thanks much for any comments. Fred |

The watch is 10 seconds slow after a week on the wrist, correct? If so, nothing to complain about.
As for settling, I find all watches tend to take weeks to settle in when new or after servicing. all_in_the_pamily on IG Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Well, after reading another thread on this forum about a Panerai running fast due to magnetization, I decided to check my new one. To my surprise, it was ever so slightly moving the compass needle. So, I ran it through the demagnetizer a few times. To my further surprise, the numbers were back to spec, i.e., -1 spd on timegrapher. Don't know how the magnetization happened, and surely didn't think it was the cause of my watch running slow, but lesson learned.
Thanks again folks! Fred |

That's great news. Congrats!
