Vintage Watch Repair in Chicago, IL

Anyone aware of any trusted watchmakers Chicago area that are reputable and experienced enough to handle vintage?

Typically I send my stuff across trusted service experts which all have been suggested a ton of times (Ridley, LAWW etc) but I just need some basic adjustments such as 1675 Bezel tweak, new gasket installed for my 16520 crystal etc, and the cost of shipping these high value watches far outweighs the small cost of repairs/time.

Anyone know of any?

Have you tried looking into the AWCI website? You can try and find a watchmaker closest to your zip code. You can narrow their qualifications as well if you prefer somebody who is certified.

Many of the vintage collectors in a different forum suggested this to me when I first started out.

That was how I found one of my watchmakers today, who I have a good working relationship with. I'm sure you'll find one you can go to for these quick fixes.

A-z fine watch & Chrono repair in hardwood heights. I took my brothers explorer 2 to them for a service, the rotor was broken. That was about a year ago, so far so good. It was a reasonable quote, about $300.
