My wait for the 5711 is over...
Unfortunately, I was so close to acquiring this watch and was next on the list to receive the 5711 with the blue dial. Today, I got a call from my AD offering me this one as a consolation. According to them, this is the first one they received since 2019. I didn’t hesitate to accept the watch and looking forward to picking it up. Some time in the future, I’m hoping for an opportunity to acquire a 5711 new release, assuming it comes to fruition!
I will post some wrist shots as soon as I have a chance. |

Congrats and enjoy! My grail watch is the same one in Rose. Been trying to get on this list even by offering to buy an Annual Calendar but no luck! I am actually considering going with the 5205R black dial as that is quite a stunning watch as well!

Congrats! I don't see the 5712 as an inferior watch in any way. This is not a consolation but a win!

I also agree. I have always liked the 5712G and R much better than any of the steel nautilus models. Both look great on strap.

The 5205R design is very nice, but with the black dial, the hand/dial combination was very difficult for me to read, especially in low light. Happens when you get older, I guess! :-)

Congratulations! This is a superior watch to the 5711 IMHO. And is the reason I own it in both steel and RG and will likely add the WG variant at some point.
I'm sure your day will come for the 5711 replacement (6711) but in the meantime wear this proudly! It is a beast of a watch. Sent from my SM-N986U1 using Tapatalk |

This is a beauty! The purists may argue the full steel bracelet is the way forward. But, having seen this in the metal several times, you will no doubt adore this for years to come! Wear it well...super congrats!

Thank you all for the comments and feedback, much appreciated. I must be honest, I really would prefer a SS Nautilis on a bracelet but feel extremely fortunate for this opportunity.
I picked up this one and my first and only other Patek last year, really like it. |

Nice pickup. Think you got the better watch in the end. Maybe not in terms of hype but the 5712 is excellent.

you won't regret taking the 5712, it has a beautiful thinness to it because of the micro-roter

I have the 5726A on leather strap. Some people don't like Nautilus on a strap- I love it. I agree this is a win for you.

After reading all the responses, I’m actually getting very excited to see the watch in person and start wearing it. Maybe Faith had a play in giving me this Opportunity that wasn’t on my radar.
On a sidenote, my wife isn’t happy as I promised I would slow down on the watch purchases, but last year I picked up this one (and a couple others). It is a bit too big on my wrist so I may have to let it one go! I’m Hesitant, because there’s talk the Sky-dweller being Discontinued this year or next. |
