How can you not love this.
I know- controversial design. Resale is crap. But Jesus I love this piece. So versatile and I can travel with it- the dual time zones are actually functional. Anyone looking to get into a Patek and doesn’t want to play the Nautilus/Aquanaut game- give this piece a serious look. The rose gold is even more stunning imho.
I bought a bunch of colored straps from Amazon to keep it interesting. $20 buck for the strap- I bought 5 different straps in various colors. |

This is one of my favorites as well, although I am not quite up to Patek level. If I was this would be my number one choice.

Look cool on your wrist.....
As I mention on the other thread.... 5524r or 5524g would be the best bang for your buck if you buy it right on the secondary market.... Not sure other feel the same way as I do..... The reason I didn't pull the trigger on those timepieces is because of the pusher..... I love the 5522 but too bad it was a limited edition otherwise I'll be all over it....

love it! I don't care about the price, but I don't care for the barton strap.
What is the lug width? If you can squeeze 22mm straps in there, I'd check out the rubber b universal straps. They make a rubber strap in kevlar "look" as well as gator. It would look great on that watch. |

The Barton straps were cheap. I have to check the packaging as it has the lug width. Kevlar look would be awesome. do you have a link? |

Keep in mind that the steel springbars on the Barton strap put significantly more wear on the lugholes compared to the OEM gold PP springbars that the watch came with

Curious to see what it looks like on a Milanese mesh bracelet. Anyone able to share pix?

Amazing watch. Tried one in Paris and loved it, certainly the R with its mesmerizing warm dial!

i love my 5524R. but it took me while to get there. i had the G model two years ago and sold it after 6 months.
at xmas 2020 i bought the R and since then i am in love and also re-appreciate the G (through AD windows though). the only issue with the watch is overproduction, you can find it in every AD in the world i guess - at least in europe. |

It's the only Patek that I like! I realize it's well outside the norm for Patek, but so was the Nautilus when first introduced....and see how well that turned out.
I hope to join the Patek family some time this summer, and it will be with a shiny new 5524G. As far as availability, I called every Patek AD up here in Canada only to be told none are available in white gold. I did manage to secure one for a June delivery. Fingers crossed! |

Love it. I’d let three pieces go to finance it. Unfortunately the most valuable of the three has been spoken for by my 11 year old.
Maybe one day, two pieces and a chunk of change will lead it to my wrist. Fin |

I had the the opportunity to buy last year for under 40k at an AD during a Italy vacation. Still kicking myself for not doing it.
