5170G vs 5172?

Hello all

Would love to hear people’s thoughts that have had / handled both of these.

I seem to like the size, pushers, and profile of the 5170 but the blue face, numbers and straps on the 5172.

How do the 5172 pushers look in person?

I haven’t seen the 5172 in the flesh but have tried on the 5170?

Thanks!
Mike

It’s an amazing watch. The finishing and the crispness of the pushers are 2nd to none. You have to be slightly careful with the strap though, especially if you are sweating. And the price.... it’s a 10/10 beauty!

Tried on both and went with the 5172G. Great watch-movement (same) and more versatile for my life style.

Both great watches imo. The 5170G is much dressier than the 5172, so it also depends on your goals. I would favor the beauty and versatility of the 5172. Now, if you include the P (5170P) in the poll, that one is unbeatable.

Had the 5170 and sold it after a month. 5172 hits the sweet spot and you can dress it up or down. This piece is never leaving my collection.

I love the 5070, 5170 and 5172. And I ended up choosing the 5070G for a variety of reasons. If you’re deciding between the 5170 and 5172, I think the main difference between them is that one is more formal and one is more casual.

I would go with the 5172 just because it is sportier. You can wear it with jeans and a t-shirt. If you're going to be wearing it with a suit, get the 5170. The breguet numerals are absolute class

No contest imho

Agreed, the discontinued 5170P is getting harder to find however and price going up.
