Patek Warranty

I was hoping PP would have announced to up the warranty from the current 2 years. Sadly, no improvement mentioned. Unbelievable.

Why? It’s been like that for years.

I think this issue is overrated as teething problems with a watch will typically show up much earlier. A longer warranty would help primarily buyers and sellers of 2+ year old preowned watches in terms of additional comfort. Which may be exactly what Patek don't want to support.

would be nice if Patek offered more than 2 years warranty. but the two years warranty didn't stop us from buying them

Patek never hinted at nor teased us with the possibility of a longer warranty, so don’t think there’s any reason to be surprised there was no such PP epiphany last week.

Spot on. Been though a lot of timepieces up and down the price spectrum, including several PP (which I still have). The only one I had a problem with was an AP RO that I purchased new. Sure enough problem arose before year 2 ended, so fixed under warranty but I digress.

I agree most warranty issues will show up in the first two years so the warranty period is okay.

I used to feel 2 years was stingy, but from my experience Patek will honour ANY genuine manufacturing warranty issue regardless of when it occurs. The 2 years is just an arbitrary number they quote, because they have too.

Just curious, how many people have had issues with their PP timepieces that they regret the warranty wasn't longer?
Looking online it seems like the durability, at least compared to Rolex, may be suspect for certain models?
