Tiffany Dial

My wife has a DJ with a gold bezel and Jubilee. Must be about 30 years old and taking it in for service. We bought it at Tiffany. Does the Tiffany on the dial have any relationship to value?

Only, and not even necessarily, (as it would depend on the buyer), if you have the original paperwork/receipts/etc. from Tiffany.

Only if you have the paperwork from Tiffany showing such.

It was over 30 years ago and we no longer have the box or paper work. At that time it didn't seem necessary to keep those items. My wife does not wear it so we are going to service it and give it to one of our daughters. The ladies in our family prefer Apple watches. Sorry Rolex.

Imo it has more value than the same watch without sign.

Of course to get it truly valorized you should have Tiffany papers and receipt.

In three different threads already you asked the same question. Why is that ?

Only if it had. been worn by a slightly older (say early 40s) Audrey Hepburn, barefoot and smoking a cigarette.

Minimal. Need papers, period.

I have my late fathers TT DJ circa 1989/90 and luckily my mother found the certificate with the Tiffany's stamp and matching numbers on it along with other Rolex papers after his passing. I thought they were lost. Just missing the box. Have no clue on value and don't really care. It's my most prized watch.

I disagree. People WILL pay more for a Tiffany dial without papers, compared to a regular dial. Experts can narrow it down to "most likely legit" if they have the ability to loupe it.

There are quite a few threads on TRF covering this subject, extensively discussed. Will people pay more for a T dial? Some might, but collectors and serious watch people (WIS) won't without papers.

The papers can be faked even easier than the dial.

Sure they can, but that doesn't level the playing field. No papers is a non-starter for most. Having watch and papers at the very least will start a dialogue. As to verification, that's another step.

I hope when i'm 80 (if I get there), that I can just use my age as an excuse....
