Anyone else that was sick as a dog and the COVID-19 test came back negative?
I’m pretty messed up right now with the following symptoms; headache, nose pain, coughing, dry eyes, sore throat + I’m so tired that I sleep multiple time during the day...my daughter is also sick but in much better shape than me...
It started with my son coming down with a cold on Wednesday and then in the weekend me and daughter started to get ill. None of us have a fever. The only one in the family that has anti bodies is my wife and she is not affected currently. Went to the drive-in for a COVID test and it came back negative...still feeling sick as a dog. Anyone else experienced this? |

Usually once you start showing symptoms you have enough viral load to test for covid. When did you collect your test sample? Also, what kind of test was it? PCR or rapid? Stick with PCR for the highest accuracy and make sure the nose swap is done properly as well.
If you want to be extra sure, I’d get tested again tomorrow along with the rest of the family. If those come back negative then very unlikely it’s covid. |

I have about as much medical training as your typical wildebeest, but maybe you have just a “regular” flu(?). Hope you feel better soon.

You mean there are still other illnesses out there other than Rona?
We have gone mad. |

Might be that your doc could run a few tests; everything isn't Covid.

hope you feel better.
i caught the flu in a hospital early this year. i knew it was the ordinary flu because covid would feel absolutely destructive like nothing ive ever felt before. but i still got tested and came back negative. since then i bombard myself with vit C, D, Zinc, steam bath. and now could easily fight of the flu. |

my friend had it bad and tested negative twice and had one other test that came back "inconclusive."
He was sick for a long long time - about 2 months. He is a leukemia survivor so he has odd blood issues I dont understand at all.. 2 months after getting sick, he got the vaccine and magically felt better after a week. He is sure he had it but doesn't know where he got it or why he tested negative. Sorry if I am adding to your confusion. |

I’ve been sick since Friday. Intense body aches, sour stomach, unable to sleep, cough, dripping nose, etc and my test was a neg, but I question it. I guess the fact I am breathing normal is solid though.

It's sad that people have been convinced this is the only disease they can get now.
Treat the symptoms like you would have done a year ago when people caught colds and the flu. Turning the TV off will probably help too. |

We had colds and flu before Covid and we still do. Just because you’re sick doesn’t mean you have Covid. SARS1, MERS, H1N1 are all pretty dangerous. We don’t test for those. Now take a step further and think of all the illnesses that never make it to the identification phase.

Take another test. Take 4 if you want. Odds are one of them will come out positive if that is what you are looking for.
