They would have to give you the 5270j and 50k to even consider it

Not sure if it's the best Patek in my eyes, but I know I wouldn't make that trade. Certainly the king of Nautilus for sure....totally different level than any other Nautilus. There's something to be said when you have that kind of complication in such a thin profile on your wrist AND double down with the presence of white gold physically.....just amazing.

Surely the Nautilus is worth more than the 5270J? If not now, then it certainly will be after a few years.

I’d say don’t do it, even though I’m no Nautilus fan.

The answer is no
Although 5740 is PC and 5270 is PCC which makes it superior to the Nautilus. The market prices for the two favor the 5740 big time.
No on the long run I believe when the Nautilus hype die down a little, the 5270 will be more desirable

The right answer is: Do you prefer a bracelet sports watch or not?

None of us can tell you.

The 5740 is not the best Patek. It’s just the most complicated HYPE nautilus. Lol

With that being said do what makes you most happy and go for the one you will enjoy most. Just do the math on value and be prepared to lose future earnings/value on the 5740 if u traded it due to hype inflation.

5740 is the only Perpetual Calendar Nautilus.
There are plenty of other Perpetual Calendar Chronos out there from Patek.
Just a thought.

At market-to-market value, I won't trade the 5740 for any other watch in the world.

I personally would not do it. But if the OP really likes the 5270, it may be an opportunity to buy low, sell high since the Nautilius craze may eventually subside. But I would go for the 5270p.

Again, I personally would not do it as I do not love the 5270. To me, an auto PC is a lot more usable than a manual PCC.

If you purchased the 5740 at list price and want to realize the "profit" while buying the 5270J at a big discount, it may be a reasonable move.

YG watches are not that popular these days, but if you like the 5270J, go for it.

What - are you nuts? (meant in the kindest way, of course)

The 5740 is a true treasure!

I love the 5270J and am actively lookkng for one. I would add here, not exchange. It seems 5270P and R can be had secondary at a bit lower too.
