Looking to pick up a BB58 Blue today - but which configuration

Hi all.

I’m probably going to pull the trigger on a Black Bay 58 Blue today.

My local ADs have them in all configurations (bracelet and both strap types).

Obviously I’ll try them all but is there anything I should know or any helpful info from those who have them? Are there any hidden issues/problems/upsides/downsides? I do know from searching that some have issues with the fact the clasp on the bracelet only has 3 micro adjustment holes.

Any other input gratefully received.

Cheers

It always makes sense to buy on bracelet because then adding on straps are cheaper than buying a new bracelet...

Example ( not reflective of Tudor) watch cost 3k on steel bracelet & £2800 on NATO...

New bracelet will set you back £500-700 and NATO will only cost you a couple hundred. So makes sense to get the bracelet option (also better for resale too)

I picked one up last week, and like you they had all the configurations in stock. I took the advice of the AD and purchased it on a bracelet. You can always pick up a strap later which is cheaper than buying the bracelet after the fact.

I guarantee you will fall in love with it when you get it. I enjoy mine so much I'm thinking of getting rid of the BB Harrods edition as I don't think I'll ever wear it again!

Definitely buy it on a bracelet much more cost effective in the long run you can always swap out for another type but retain the best deal keeping the bracelet.
Straps are various prices but if you want to buy the proper braclet separately you better trouser around £800.
Edit.
Looks like we were all posting the same info at the same time.

I know...I know...but I never really enjoyed wearing it, always found it a bit big and clunky. Then when I got the blue....wow its so much thinner and lighter and just much much more comfy

Plus I'm expecting an Explorer 36mm in the next few weeks so tempted to get rid of the Harrods and put it towards that

Indeed the 58 is a stunner. Down in the Midlands (and it seems as though across the country) the 58's are more available. I bought it on launch but I couldn't justify two BB's (Harrods and 58) so got rid of the 58. The Harrods is an all time favourite but at the same time I understand/respect why the 58 is loved - the dimensions are amazing and the colour just pops.

OP - be sure to upload some pics!

Get it on bracelet. I then ended up getting reasonably priced but good quality aftermarket straps and changing the look whenever I fancy a change.

Usually buying on bracelet is best option in terms of value. However because Tudor leather straps require separate purchase of the deployant clasp, either the leather or steel options + adding the other equate to roughly the same.

I bought the bracelet, and sourced original nato too.

Buy on bracelet and then add the Tudor nato strap. That watch looks terrific on that nato.

Cheers all.

The soft touch strap is really nice but went with the bracelet after some deliberation.

Pics to follow once I’ve sized it.

Bracelet, first choice. Order a strap / clasp later if you really want to change it up.

Great choice. Always prefer to get it on the bracelet and change it up later if I wish.

Well done OP great choice. I think it compares very well to the 5 digit Rolex subs for a fraction of the price

Cheers!

I’m loving it!

Sized in literally 2 minutes. Easiest one yet and I’ve found the perfect fit with the micro adjust left in the middle setting.

Great Choice for sure. Of course the bracelet version is the only way to buy even if you don't use it. I'm more of a fan for the black dial but it's a Beauty either way. Enjoy!!..

I absolutely LOVE my BB58 blue! It punches way above its weight class and is a fantastic daily wear!

Congrats, looks great! I'm not sure how common this is or isn't but I bought mine on bracelet and my AD gave me a complimentary nato for it. Perhaps worth a try if you want to wear it two ways.

Went to my AD today. I have tried on both the black and navy BB58 before, liked both, but didn’t pull the trigger. After doing some more research on other brands and trying the watch on the soft touch leather, I am now the owner of a BB58. Will post photos this weekend. I don’t love most of Tudor’s bracelets but like their NATO and leather straps. This worked for me. This watch is also a great value at under $3500 for me all in including taxes.
