15500OR(black alligator strap) VS 26331ST(blue)

Hey guys, I was hoping to get some opinions from members who've had both of these models and share which model you actually prefer?? I've had my 15500OR for about a month now and I love it but the Royal Oak Chrono in blue looks gorgeous. So my options right now are either order a rose gold bracelet from AP Clearwater or sell and get 26331ST. Thanks in advance!

I'd get the rosegold bracelet - there is something about AP's rose gold watches but the blue chrono is also beautiful, I guess it depends on preference.

Both are fantastic watches. Only you truly know what is best for you in this situation as you would be trading all gold for steel.

Some advantages of the 26331st imo. I have a 26331st so I may be biased. Values are sky rocketing proportionately to 15500st and are likely to continue on that trend especially when the official announcement comes that the steel 26331st F. piguet movement will be phased out for the new in-house movements. Imo could/will see a Zenith Daytona effect in values.

That being said I see more value intrinsically in having an all Gold RO 15500 vs a Steel chrono. Blue face is amazing, but if you’re paying grey market prices I wouldn’t make the swap imo. If you’re getting the blue face from AD then this is certainly a different conversation to have.

Just my two cents fwiw, but truly only
You know what you would prefer long-term.

ADD the bracelet.

FWIW, I went ROC Blue first but had the option of getting 155000OR as well. The grass is always greener on the other side when you long for the one you don't have.

By the way, have you tried a rubber strap on for the summer months yet?

Add rose gold bracelet, AP rose gold bracelet is the most gorgeous timepiece.

Wait for the new Chrono comes out and add it later.

Thank you! My 15500OR is on a OEM black rubber strap right now.

Good call, I think I might just wait till AP comes out with the in-house movement and make my decision then!

Thanks everyone!

No don’t sell your 15500. I sold my 15400OR last year to fund another watch and it still hurts thinking about it. I ordered a 15500OR last month to fill that hole.

Did you ever contact Clearwater? Any idea the turnaround time for the bracelet?
Thanks.

Yes, I've been in constant contact with a rep from clearwater and he told me that they will be accepting full deposit starting the first week of September and will start delivery around February 2022.

May I ask how much they quoted you for the bracelet?

You were able to order a 15500OR on a strap? Is that a model available for orders, how long is the wait after you order? Thanks!

I would never ever give 26k for a bracelet.

The OR on a bracelet is about 20k more than on the strap, so there is a premium to buying the bracelet afterwards
