Calatrava Bracelet to Leather Strap. HELP!!!

So recently I got my hands on a Calatrava 7200 with Rose Gold Bracelet (now discontinued) .

Would it be possible to change the bracelet to a leather strap considering that the current collection has the same model but without rose gold bracelet.
I had called the PP service centre and they had advised that they would not be able to change from bracelet to leather.

On another note, SA has also advised that the Aquanut 5167 SS bracelet can be changed to rubber strap.

Seems strange that it wouldn't be changeable.

I would try another AD and perhaps even ask if you could meet and speak with their watchmaker.
I have a good relationship with my AD where the wathcmake is happy to come out and we have looked at Patek documents to see what can be ordered or changed on specific models.
Such as the 5167 getting updated to the newer design rubber strap clasp.
So i would suspect they would have an information page on the 7200 and state if a replacement strap is ordered for a bracelet version of the 7200 if it could in fact be changed.

Also, it is indeed correct that bracelet version 5167 can have a rubber strap put on as I have personally had it done.
However I have heard the other way around is not possible, a 5167 originally fitted with a rubber strap cannot be switched to a bracelet. I could be wrong so stand to be corrected if that is the case.
*cough* SL BRABUS, please chime in *cough" :D
