Michael Young

Just a shout out for Michael Young who undertook a massive 'destretch' for me on a 1978 JB Champion oval link US made jubilee bracelet.

The bracelet was so stretched it couldn't be worn safely. You can see by the style that a replacement bracelet wasn't a possibility

Michael (and/or Kid) has done a great job on this and I would have no hesitation in using the service again.

Thanks Michael

That looks great! I have never seen a bark finish on a stainless watch. That must have been some task since stainless is so much harder than gold.

Excellent. I have recommended them to others in the past.

I really wish MYoung or "the Kid on behalf of Michael Young" would get the Tudor case & Caseback projects going that I sent back this winter. I am actually 2 weeks late in sending my monthly reminder / ETA request.

So if the Kid or MY are watching - yes, that is me emailing for status updates, and I am getting concerned.

Yes., a John Bull Bahamas special I believe. The bracelet was very very badly worn, but I knew that when I purchased it. What I didn't know at the time was that it was a US made JB bracelet with oval links that cannot really be done here in the UK (without a second mortgage being required)

Yeah love the look of that...just different enough to be interesting...the pic of bark on the clasp really highlights the detailed work...

Also would be curious to see how bad the stretch was

Looks great, very tight links!
The USA made Jubilee takes more work to repair than a standard Swiss Jubilee bracelet so I am informed.
I'm waiting on my USA Jubilee rebuild from the same company, so your result is very encouraging to me.

And, for what it’s worth, I think the Michael Yound still does the most detailed perfect work. I have an old 1665 which he had done his magic prior to my purchase - amazing!!
There is also Rolliworks, here in California, who will take on the job and also at pretty good prices. Unfortunately, they take a ling time, too.

There’s no way to speed up the meticulous work that goes into doing this project by hand, methinks. Hats off to those who take it on!!

(See you all tomorrow!)
THANK YOU, Steve, for all your work!!
