To trade or not to trade..

Hi everyone, i hope everyone is healthy and safe.. I am after some advice as I have an opportunity to trade for a GMT Master 2 16710 (Coke), L Serial, Circa: 1990, Complete with Box, Papers & Rolex Service Card. In new to near mint condition and just recently overhauled by Rolex.

The sacrificial lambs are: (complete set)

2011 DJ 2 TT Wimbledon.
2011 PAM 321 GMT

I would appreciate any advice/opinion you can share... Thank you in advance...

No idea on the financial + or - but based just on the watches I would like to wear, yes...

as usual, only you know. BUT, sounds like a trade i would make. i don't care for either of the two you're looking to part with, and always loved that 16710. so assuming you are confident with the provenance, then go for it!

Is this a straight trade or is cash involved?

The numbers are close....

Figure the Coke is about $14K

They are giving your something like $11K for the DJ2 and $3k for the PAM.

Pam's are just tough right now, so finding someone willing to trade a Pam against a ROLEX is getting harder and harder....but you're getting beat up on that for sure.

Loyalty I think is looked at differently. I would consider loyalty to be with someone through thick or thin but ADs look at loyalty by how much you spend. Spend little get little, Spend big get lots

Sounds like a good trade. You would know if you have an attachment to your current watches. If not, pull the trigger I say. Good luck

Heck yeah. Personally, I would jettison those two in a heartbeat. Especially the PAM. Take the money and run Venezuela, as the song goes...

Sounds like a fair trade. I would do it if no money was involved.

Trading two watches for one is always tough but I would do this trade. Especially if one or both pieces are not getting enough wrist time.

Assuming the dial and hands are original, I'd do it. Bonus if it is unpolished/ polished done correctly.
