If you were a soldier going to a war zone, what watch would you take with you?
In 2021 knowing you’d need something robust and for the environment. The environment is not hospitable and could become very hostile. It’s a tropical climate. You could also be there a long time.

Maybe the Breitling titanium emergency watch. That or my DD. I like knowing what day it is.

When I was in Vietnam, I wore Bulova dress watch, but if I were going back to war, the G-Shock would be my choice.

I think I’d go with the Seiko turtle.

G-shock for sure. No question. No reflective metal, durable, quartz accuracy and can take a beating which it is designed for.

Out of the choices, a G Shock. My choice? a Pathfinder. More things I find useful. Though it is a bit bigger.

Casio Pathfinder. Nothing shiny that can give me away at distance. Don't want to scratch up good watch while hugging ground or bumping corners. Has a compass and the altimeter is good to have if you're operating in the mountains.

GMT Master II or Exp II. That 24 hr hand pointed to home time where family and friends are would be what kept me going.

Issued G10 watch or my own G Shock (the light feature was a godsend at night because the lume on the issued ones was not good), I would also add a Tegemented Sinn 856.
