Daytona oysterflex meteorite vs GMT Pepsi meteorite

So what do you guys think between these two
My AD can order one for me in next year allocation
Among all the meteorite dials I love these two and personally like GMT and Daytona lines a lot

Currently have
- SS Daytona white and black ceramic 116500
-Daytona white gold blue dial 116509
-GMT Batman oyster
-GMT Pepsi jubilee
-Sky-dweller blue dial on oyster

I am On a Waiting list submariner steel green Bazel to enter into submariner line

So Daytona vs Pepsi meteorite dial white gold
Any comments suggestions?

Thanks !!

I’ve got the GMT Meteorite and I’m waiting to hopefully add the Daytona one.

Both are completely different watches from a looks and functionality point of view but if you want an “Albino” looking watch then go GMT.

If you want an Oysterflex that’s Way from the hyped WG Slate dial then Meteorite is the one. I have to admit, I always thought the Daytona Meteorite dials were potentially too busy but for some reason, the ceramic bezel and OF bracelet makes the dial “POP” and looks superb!

Wow, you have some great watches. Well done.

For me, this would be easy. GMT meteorite all day long. Feels more special and I feel the meteorite works better on a simpler GMT dial over Daytona.

A lot depends on how you feel about Oysterflex too. I have the WG Daytona on OF and I like it, but I prefer a full bracelet.

Have you ever owned an OF?

Also, I think you need some YG or RG in that collection...

Thanks guys
I want to stay with white gold as it’s more understated and can be daily wearer ...

I love oysterflex white gold Daytona
I had it and had to pass on to my brother who desperately wanted that piece !! And I am glad I could make him happy

I have both on order but if I had to choose, I'd go GMT first because I like full bracelets and I'd probably use the GMT function before the chrono. Which function do you use the most? Do you like flashy or under the radar? The GMT is probably going to get noticed more because of the bezel colors.

Regardless, it's a good dilemma you have.

1) Your AD has been VERY good to you!
2) You have excellent taste (meaning similar to mine, lol)
3) I don't think Meteorite dials work well with Daytonas as the dials are crowded and complicated to begin with, but the GMT looks great with Meteorite.
4) I also think WG pairs best with Meteorite.

I would say GMT cause is a full bracelet and not fan of Oysterflex

The oyster flex meteorite Daytona is my grail so it’s a no brainer for me

I've always wanted a Daytona, but think the Meteorite looks better on GMT.

I have WG GMT Pepsi meteorite dial, I think it's the best for meteorite dial.

I also want one of PM Daytona with meteorite dial.

GMT meteorite would be more rare and more collectable than Daytona because there are so many models on Daytona with meteorite dial.

If you can pick only one, WG Pepsi should be the winner.

I agree. Not to take anything away from the Daytona OF Meteorite, but I think the GMT II Meteorite is the best Rolex has to offer on that front (including the Day-Date).

Out of your choices the easiest decision for me is having a bracelet, rather than a rubber band.

I would like to add the meteorite daytona, I mean at this point I have to, right? White gold bracelet would be my choice. It’s all just personal preference but if choosing between GMT and Daytona I choose GMT first just because it’s very unique.

Saw this piece a few weeks back (Dummy model) and it was lovely. The AD was already speculating all meteorite Daytona's will be discontinued though sooner rather than later. Both the GMT and Daytona are beautiful but if I had to choose I would go Daytona I think .....

This one was nicer than the OF version though...

I would go GMT meteorite all day long.

In fact, until Rolex decides to fix the Daytona OF line by making the mini glide lock available, I'm not buying another Daytona!

What an impressive line up you already have OP! My vote goes to the GMT meteorite as well since you already have white/black/blue dial Daytona; you have the BLRO Jubilee & BLNR Oyster, which IMO such a perfect duo, and so the Meteorite dial would compliment the impressive collection you already have.

U need an oyster flex in your collection. Very comfortable, sporty, and provides great contrast to case. Daytona gets my vote.

For reasons not yet stated, go with GMT meteorite because

1) you can get an OF and put it on your SS Daytona's it would look similar.

2) more importantly, collection symmetry - you have 3 Daytona's and 2 GMTs. Also 2 SS / 1 PM Daytona's but 2 SS GMT / 0 PM GMTs. How cool would it be to whip out two watch rolls with Daytona's in one and GMTs the other.

X2. It’s bolder and more interesting. It’s also a way better size for me than the 38mm Daytona.
