Does anyone else NEVER take their watch off?
I wear my Submariner no matter what I’m doing:
Sleeping, showering, moving heavy furniture, lawn work, cleaning a dirty garage, exercising, etc etc. It’s basically become my new G-shock. My dad treats his 126613LB the same exact way. Sure, the watches are covered like hell in scratches and some dings, but neither of us ever saw the point in babying a tough watch. But I come on here and see everyone talking about values and investments, and on social media I see older Rolexes looking fresh off the factory floor I know they’re expensive luxury items, but aren’t they also still the heavy-duty reliable tools they started out as? It seems like with rising values everyone has suddenly started to treat their Rolex like a high-end Patek. Please tell me I’m not the only crazy one |

I do the same thing. I pick a watch that almost never comes off for possibly the entire year. It only comes off when I wear another piece for a different occasion, like vacation, or a nice dinner. Thus, the watch in rotation has to be useful and easily readable.

Whichever watch I’m wearing stays on all of the time. Little more careful with PM ones though.

When I'm traveling away from home I'm usually using my Polar and it stays on 24/7. When I'm home they come every night and another goes on next day in rotation.

I don’t like to put my rolex in situations where it can get marked up or damaged. I have other watches for those situations. I treat my rolex like jewelry.

Wear mine all day, everyday. I take it off for a few minutes in the shower so I can clean under it and clean it or when I need to fit my arm in a tight spot and the watch will hinder the task.
Let’s see some pics of your well loved sub!! Here’s my 16613LB Sent from my Apple privacy invasion product |

I wear a different Rolex every day of the week for work. I don't thrash them unnecessarily but they all put in work. Wearing my Explorer II today

Just because it can handle it, doesn’t mean it should handle it. Watches are functional jewelry now, regardless of the their DNA. Can you wear your Sub scuba diving or your Daytona racing.. Sure you can. But it doesn’t mean they should be beat to hell. To each their own, but I prefer my watches to look as clean and new as possible, and I get them polished at service time. To your specific question, I wear my Apple Watch for all the activities mentioned. Again, to each their own and respect all opinions.

For the past month or so I’ve only worn one watch that has only come off when I shower at home.

Same here; sleeping and showering too. In fact, I keep a soft toothbrush in the shower so I can clean my watch every few weeks or so. I paid a lot of money (for me) to get this watch, and I wear it always.
Good post. |

I wear it all the time, but will take it off if I'm moving heavy stuff, that is if I'm home.

99% of the time I have a watch on. Not the same watch, but always something. I've even got watches I intentionally wear when doing handiwork, moving things around, etc.

Stays on until bedtime. Don't care to wear a watch overnight.

I'm with the OP.
I bought the Rolex so that I can do anything with it on. In most cases, I remove it to wear another model. |

My eyesight is terrible, so in the middle of the night without glasses I have no ability to read an alarm clock. Therefore I always have a watch on while sleeping. Unfortunately, I find every "nice" watch I own to be uncomfortable in a 24/7 application, whereas a basic Swatch I could wear forever. So when I am wearing a nicer watch, I'll swap it out for the Swatch to sleep in since I have to have something on at all times or I go crazy.
