Which wrist do you wear your watches on?
In find this is an interesting topic. Some manufacturers produce two identical watches (Panerai is an example) with the command functions (crown, chrono pushers, etc) on one side or the other. Rolex has never done this as far as I know? I have always worn my watches on the right wrist and I am right handed. How about you?

I always understood it as you wear it on the opposite of your dominant hand. Think about it like if you’re writing how annoying would it be to have the watch in the way and get all scratched up? I donno maybe that’s why but I have very rarely seen ppl wear it on dominant hand

I am left handed, but cannot imagine wearing a watch on my right wrist.
I may risk knocking my watches a bit more than a right handed person would, but I am not so clumsy as to require a separate version built to make up for it. |

I am right handed and wear watch on the right. Placing on the left wrist feels very strange. Also I wear it closest to the hand above the wrist bone. I also prefer the crown placed on the right so I can set the watch with my right hand before placing it on the wrist. I also find if I had it on my left wrist the crown digs in to my hand, super annoying.

99% of watches have the crown on the left for a reason!
I wear it on the left and I’m right handed

I’m right handed, goofy snowboarder, and I wear my watch on the left wrist (because it’s the traditional thing to do for right handed ppl)

When I was a kid - 1960s-70s - it was supposed to be left wrist for boys, right wrist for girls. I still notice that being a pattern, though not sure if its still a conscious thing at all.

My wife is right handed and wears her 117200 on her right wrist. I have just asked her if there is a reason for this and the answer was ' No, I have always worn them like this" That's cleared that up then!

I even tried to wear a watch on the left wrist and a smartwatch on the right but it simply is impossible for me to have something on the right wrist. Sometimes I need to wear my wedding ring on the right hand if I have problems on my left ring finger and even this is uncomfortable to me. |

Thus far our poll isn’t far off the alluded data derived from this article. Approximately 10% of the world’s population are left handed.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/healt...97f_story.html What I find surprising is the data we are discovering here concerning the actual wrist on which left or right handed people wear their watches. If we are to use this initial TRF derived data, 2/3 lefties wear their watches on their dominant hand.

As one of those lefties, I think this result speaks more to the fact that the social standard + practical benefit of having the crown pointing down (towards hand) far out ways any negative from wearing a watch on your dominant hand (extra scratches, etc). |

Amazing less than 10% wear on right wrist. I'm left handed and wear on right. Never noticed how few wear on right.

Considering today’s release of the lefty GMT, what say you all about it?
High percentage of people who wear their watches on the right wrist (like me) allied to the 10-15% lefties in the world
