Which would you keep?
Hi guys, simple question
I've just recently acquired Lange an gotta let one of the omega goes which one would you suggest to let go? I'd love to have a blue dial in my collection for diversity but the 1861 is such a classic and couldn't make up my mind wonder what's your thoughts? I'm aware both can easily be obtainable in the future. Here's my humble collection collection Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Keep the blue. Harder to replace than the black. Nicer IMO too

I’m a real fan of Blue Dials normally but I’ve got to say I think you’re Black Dial one is the nicer of the two.

Keep the Tokyo 2020 blue. It has an 1861 movement in it and is limited.

Keep the blue. It's a limited and historically significant - the 2020 Olympic that tool place in 2021.

Both the 1861 and the 2020 Tokyo Blue are very cool watches. I assume you are selling one for the funds it will generate. The Blue has about twice the value of the black 1861. Taking into account funds then the blue is the one to go. For collectability the Blue is the one to keep. You are not going to make much off the 1861 so just keep it and enjoy it. It is truly a strap monster. The answer is really keep both if you can swing it for a while and see where your collection goes. You can always move one later. Let us know what you decide.

Tough choice! It's hard to pick just one of these. If the 1861 has the bracelet (I'm assuming it does) I would tend to lean towards that, typically. However, as many have pointed out, the uniqueness of the Tokyo 2020 limited edition gets it my vote. Really like the colours and of course the contrasting subdials. In your shoes that's what I would keep.

Keep the blue! You can always re-acquire the MW down the road if you really miss it. But that blue LE is really sweet!

I'd say keep both ideally, really looks like you can afford it. But given your collection, the blue fits in better |

I like the black better but you can always buy that one back if you have regrets so I would keep the blue.

Personally I would keep both Speedmasters and find something else to part with

Guys thanks for the input! I'll keep both for now initially the blue should go but well... it's always easier said than done.

I had the blue and sold it. It is one of only two watches I've moved on that I regret selling. Don't make the same mistake

Good call hanging onto both for now, Ken. It's never a bad idea to give these decisions added thought.

Which would you keep?
If the black is the standard Speedy Pro, keep the blue.
You did make the right choice keeping both. Unless you need to free up the funds, those two are like money in the bank anyways. If you sell them today, they'll likely sell for less than you'd get down the years. They seem to keep up with inflation and price rises.
