Pics from Porsche/Mercedes B/Audi museums
I was in Germany a couple of weeks ago and was lucky to see the Audi, Porsche and Mercedes Benz museums.
Here are some random pics from these amazing places...... Audi Museum (btw - John - the guy in the photo is Jim Crue...you may have heard of him because he was a top cyclist in the 70's and early 80's) This model dates from the late 1930's! Porsche museum Mercedes Benz museum The famous number 722 that Stirling Moss drove to victory in 1955 - in a time that has never been beaten! The first car..... |

Nice pictures Shane, certainly looks like you had a good time. I think Stirling Moss's time in 722 has not been beaten because 1955 was the last year the Mille Millia was run.
The Audi Quattro is a beaut. My friend has the second to last car ever built and I have a 1974 Coupe that has a 2.2 5 cylinder engine but without the turbo charger.

Yep - Torsten and I met Jim a couple of years ago and each year we do a tour of a particular part of Germany.
Jim's a Paneristi, although he doesn't post that much. Do you know him/ of him? |

I really enjoyed the MB museum as well. I was in Wolfsburg to see the VW, Audi, Skoda, etc. museum in Autostadt. That was really a great experience.
Great pics and it brought back some great memories of my years living in Germany. Thank you. |
