How difficult is it to source a 279138RBR from an AD?

Not your typical request, but my mother (who never asks for anything) has shown interest in the 28 mm YG/diamond/MoP lady-datejust (279138RBR). It could also be the similar 31mm DJ (278288RBR). I'd be upgrading her from her current OP34mm grape dial.

So my question is, how difficult is this to source from an AD in the current environment for someone with no AD relationship? I get that really anything is tough right now. If I can source one, it wouldn't be a bad way to start my own AD purchase history.

I don’t have any experience with this model, but it looks kinda unique and rare. I could be wrong, but if follows the trend of most rare Rolex, I don’t see it being easy.

I’d imagine this one could possibly be order-able.

It’s such a unique piece and being 28mm I have my doubts of it being an allocation reference like the others. (This is a total guess on my part). This 28mm would certainly be an excellent way to start purchase history. It is a beautiful reference, for sure.

If the wrist isn't too small, it's better to go for YG Day-Date 36mm for this high price timepiece.

They say no more orders, but I bet you could order that. If you found it grey, the price difference wouldn’t be much, or possibly a little off retail.

She currently has a 34mm OP and feels it’s a bit big, I’d think 31mm is actually the perfect size for her

I've heard no orders until January. Give your AD a call and ask.

I went with the 34mm version. They said check back in April if I don't hear from them first.
