You can't really do any real activities except for boomer sports with a nice watch. G-shock is the way.

I use an Apple Watch (I think it is a fifth generation?) for all of my activities. I am way too rough in my workouts for anything nice and I like the ability to time, monitor calories and heart rate, and have the feature to change music while keeping my phone in the gym bag.

This is what I wear for any strenuous activity. No worries about scratching the Breitlight case and it hardly feels like you're wearing a watch with how light it is.
