Thoughts on this 1603

All, I have a friend interested in purchasing this watch. I know there are a ton of real experts on here so I thought maybe some can offer any opinions.

It's common for blue dials to exhibit some degradation, but this one is worse than average IMO. It's entirely a matter of how your friend feels about the dial ... and price of course.

Thanks for the input. Also my thinking is 5k is a little high for head only.

$5k USD is a bit on the high side without a bracelet, but blue dials are fetching a premium these days. The problem is the condition.

Love the blue dial. Here's mine. While they do have degradation issues, the "patina" can take on a unique look of its own. Not for everyone, but I love how it takes the watch into the casual territory.

Lovely watch. I don’t mind the patina. Part of the vintage charm.
