Anyone else really like MOP Dials?
I really like MOP and I’d like a DJ41 MOP but the diamonds-only option ruins it for me. If they had a regular stick indices option I’d be all about it. I’d like to see more MOP in the catalogue.
I think a MOP White gold Sea Dweller would be awesome. It sort of joins the argument for brands to stop making “ladies” watches. Pink and MOP doesn’t have to be small and diamonds. Patek just calls their pink watches salmon dial and men eat it up. Rolex would probably be well-served with the younger audience to ditch the idea of gender watches and just make watches and not try to market towards gender. It makes men who want pink and MOP dials or smaller cases not want to buy them and it insults women who often end up just wearing the “mens” references anyways.

I love MOP, either white or dark, and I think it would be awesome on a watch. I've actually been looking for a steel + MOP watch, but there's not much available. The only reasonable option I can think of is at Sinn.
A MOP steel Rolex would be a dream. Probably not going to happen (and would be immediately unobtainium if it did). As a side note, the Cellini Cellinium, in platinum & MOP, seems to be one of the cheapest Pt option at Chrono24. |

I’d love a regular stick MOP DJ41.

A MOP OP41 on jubilee would be pretty awesome. I just don’t care for diamonds.
I like how it looks mostly silver/blue and you don’t really notice it until you look closely. Then it has a lot of depth and texture. It goes with the waterproof oyster theme I think. MOP seadweller with pearl topped bezel and white gold would look pretty low key and super nice.

MOP is a well established material for dressy pocket knives - small folders and the like.
The main problem with MOP (and other stones) is that no 2 pieces look the same. Some pieces have lots of vortices, rainbows, clouds and stuff, others are very flat. |

I like the hand crafted element to the dials also. Where other Rolex dials are machine made the MOP are made by hand which is rare for Rolex.

I agree I wouldn’t mind it with stick. My wife ordered her MOP DJ31 with diamond markers though which is a turn off for me.

Looks nice with yellow gold Romans. Wish they’d make more variants like this and less with diamonds

My wife loves hers to bits. The Rolex is her second one and her best by a long margin.
MOP is absolutely not for me, but I can admire them from afar. |

I like several MOP colours, like black, green and blue. Not a fan of white.

I particularly like the MOP with the roman indices. I don't like its look on diamonds.
I love it on the 116509 Daytona, it ads just a hint of panache in an otherwise stock looking piece. |

Yeah I like MOP Dial’s, I didn’t really think that I would wear any Watch that had diamonds but spotted this on display in a Rolex AD’s window four year’s ago & thought it was really nice. This reference has since been discontinued but I like it & that’s what matters, wear whatever makes you happy ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looks good. I think yellow gold works well with MOP more so than white gold for some reason. Maybe it’s the contrast and the bright yellow takes away some of the visual impact of the mop and balances the reference. Still prefer no diamonds though.
I’m sticking with my MOP diver being a cool idea. Like a bluesy or Smurf or sea dweller 2 tone with MOP dial. Full on under the sea theme.
