Is this Dial real- 1803 Daydate

I know this watch has had parts replaced due to an accident, But im wondering if the dial is correct and what dial should I get If not. Its is 1803 serial dates to 1983- non quickset. Or is this an aftermarket Dial

I’ll let the experts opine on the dial, it looks ok to me. The hands look wrong though, I believe those are not genuine.

That is an 1803 pie pan type dial, which wouldn’t fit in any later reference, but 1977-78 was the end of the 1803, when the 18038 was released. (It’s possible that the watch was never first sold until 1983, of course.) Do you know the serial number?

the serial on the certificate is in the 8 million so it dates to 1983, but the reference on the certificate is 1803.

Does that mean the watch is counterfeit?

correct the Bracelet is for the 55 For Rolex watch Ref 18038

Im trying to find out how I want to go on things getting it sorted. The movement is original and correct. These 1803, had several frankenstiens. The gold is all correct 18k and tested by the London assay.
But I'm having doubts on some of the parts on the watch
The original watch was beaten badly, where as maybe only the movement survived. All I Know was that the original owner had it cheaply fixed.. just to ensure it was a working watch again.

Taking another look, I think the dial is not original (aftermarket or a repaint). I think the Day-Date text should be “sans serif.” The bracelet (if original) may have 55 end links instead of the correct 53s. And yes, 8M should be too late as a serial for an 1803. Have you examined the movement?

yea movement is correct Im suspicious of the papers and the serial. I will take it to a vintage expert as Im really not familiar, too many real fakes. (am suspicious about some of the light markings. Anyways if counterfeit case this would be on the higher end of them.
I would like to get it to original as possible but if the case and the cert is fake. really no point, might aswell throw a aftermarket Stella on it hahah

I returned an 1803 a couple of years ago as dial was aftermarket. Here’s a link. This was an aftermarket dial. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=657249
