There's a vast improvement in that hue of the BLUE!!

Well guys,

Took Zemina this morning to our Downtown area for some shopping. Since we were there, I told her to come in with me to Mansors and have an up close and personal look at the TT BLUE YM and the TT BLUE SUB...side-by-side!

The salesperson was happy to greet us and show us both watches next to each other.

Zemina's instantaneous reaction when she saw the Blue Sub: "WOW!! There certainly seems to be a vast improvement in the BLUE hue since you had yours. This BLUE looks so much richer, deeper and classier!! The Blue YM looks like Miss Plain Jane next to it!!!"

To say that she just made my day and weekend would be putting it very lightly!!

She's right, guys. I had this same feeling too. There has definitely been some change in the HUE of the BLUE....the new one being so much RICHER!!

Hey, but you guys know me and how weak I go at the knees when I see a TT BLUE SUB!!

JJ

Well, Pete, dunno if you had read my previous post on the defective dial I have on my Blue YM.

Mansors has called for a new dial, but since Rolex HQ at Melbourne did not have it, Geneva has to send it. Once it arrives, I'll get them to sell off the YM for me and then pick up the TT BLUE SUB.

It's not a question of IF....just a question of WHEN. Unfortunately, the ball is NOT in my court. Have to wait for the new YM dial to arrive.

Cheers - JJ

Go for it now.
You can recoupe some of your $$ later, once the dial arrives. You know it will sell.
Don't punish yourself, go for it.

I would have, John....but I do have other priorities right now which I cannot discuss here. So I have no option but to wait till the YM is sold and I can then utilise those funds to pick up the Blue Sub.

The blue on one of my DJs is the most exquisite shade I've ever seen.

I engaged one of the top stores here in Manhattan to try and find me one to match in a lady's for a wedding present to my wife. They could not do it.

Been offered cash on the spot -- about $500 more than I expect it's worth -- for this watch.

And no, I will not photograph it now...use your imagination ;)

"Oh, and by the way: they're real, and they're spectacular."

We have a house guest this w/e, and the watch is in the "Guest Room" closet.

I put that in ""'s because we live in Manhattan and the place is so small we really don't have an extra room. Most of the time it's just "the place where we put stuff".

Will photo it later.

I also saw James Lipton walking in Midtown yesterday. Not Rolex-related. Or even interesting. :(

I would have thought he was in his 50s.

Also saw Jackie Mason recently, and he looks as though he is 95.

I guess it all boils down to the way one lives one's life. Along with some good genes...

Lord, haven't seen Jackie Mason in probably over a decade. He used to be a staple on The Tonight Show.

What's the over/under on the amount of JJ's posts where someone makes a "SHEEP" reference?

Seeing is how he's made close to 17,000 posts, I'll set the other under at 16,500

He may like them au naturale

(I know I spelled it wrong, but it was so bad that spell check just displayed a box that read "you're kidding, right?")

Summer is on it's way down there. When they sweat if they have too much fur dowm below, it might stink. Then he'll have to carry that odor around in his nose all day long
