Did Rolex make a 6694 Explorer?

I am trying to get information on a 6694 "Explorer"
Did Rolex actually make this watch or did someone make the dial?
See pictures

Im guessing someone added the hands to the watch.

I've never seen that dial before. I think we'd've seen a lot of them if they were legit, look at the watch, handsome. But don't BUY it

Refinished dial I would say. As others have said, looks sharp, but I wouldn't buy it.

Looks like a Frankenwatch to me. Check out this article, it should give you an idea about all legit references with an Explorer-like dial:

Reviving this thread to show images of another so-called 6694 Explorer that I found in the wild yesterday while browsing some vintage watch shops (dated 59 based on serial no). I am guessing this is a Franken as well, but if so, it's rather well done and visually appealing (Gilt dial with some barely noticeable bubbling on the gloss dial - the imperfections you see are the plastic wrapping that was over it).

Well for the right price I’d consider that one

It was offered for exactly 4k USD. I could bargain a bit on it. Worth it?

What is it exactly? Hands and hour markers glowed perfectly in harmony under UV.

It does look cool, but that’s a lot of money for a dodgy dial

They didn't, and not keen on the top of the E in ROLEX.
