Interest List

Does it matter if I put a few watches on the interest list if I do not have any purchase history? I'm looking to get a RG daydate 36 and RG Rootbeer for myself, and a 31 datejust for my girlfriend.

I've already indicated interest to the SA and it didn't seem like there was any issue, but just wondering if there's any limit to the number of watches you can put on the interest list?

Also, does it matter if I walked in with a sub ND that I recently bought on the grey market? (The SA also did ask me where I bought my sub ND from)

Soon as you bought from Grey, all AD's get instantly alerted with facial images of you. You've now been blacklisted.

Which one doesn't matter? Number of watches on interest list or wearing a rolex bought on the grey market?

Doesn’t matter to add a few watches to your interests list. As long as they aren’t all super hot professional pieces.

AFAIK my dealer does not even have “interest lists,” at least I’ve never heard that term mentioned. I have just asked for one watch at a time then waited for it, longest wait was 9 months for a SS Daytona.

You're fine to show interest in 3 references especially if they aren't hype references and if you explain why you want all 3.

The red flag is walking into a store, or worse calling, and not being an existing customer asking for "Pepsi, Daytona, Hulk". Those people get forgotten as soon as phone hangs up or they walk out.

No worries!

In Singapore, bundling Rolex’s doesn’t work anymore. You might better your chances by buying Hublots, PAMs, Breguets, Omegas from the 2 ADs listed in the stock exchange. Every AD knows that the RG Rootbeer is your trophy, hence they will work you hard to get it.

Honestly these days I stick with one request at a time especially if it’s a reference that is really desirable. Every AD is different so I would have that conversation with them.

Based on your 3 watch list, I don't think it matters. While not easy to get, they're not the hottest also. Personally I wouldn't worry about wearing your sub into the store, altho it also depends on your relationship with the store.

For reference, I will be wearing a Rolex I did not buy from my AD to an AD invited Rolex event The AD manager even insisted i do.
