Rolex Daytona used market prices

Just wondering what the outlook is for Rolex Daytona second hand market - is it likely that this model will continue to appreciate?

I know a social media influencer who has become a watch expert from YouTube reviews and he said they’re going to at least $150k by summer.

Possibly?

How long do you plan to hold?

When do you plan to sell?

What is your expected rate of return?

What other uses do you have for your capital?

Will it continue? According to history over the last 30 years, yes absolutely.

Will it continue to go ape sh*t? No one knows dude.

I’d say even if you buy one for 45k or whatever your money is safe, but if there’s an economic downturn you’ll likely need to hold onto it until we rebound unless you’re willing to take a bath on it.

Generally, all things go up over time but usually not in a steep straight line so I would expect a correction/softening at some point.

His track record of knowledge sounds pretty consistent. 150k, here we come!

We have never seen watches at this value, or % over MSRP ever. Year after year we are setting new highs. Do i think its feasible for the Daytona to continue pushing up 10k a year or whatever its been, no. At some point, the customer pool of people willing to spend 75-100k for a daytona will become very small. Once its that small the greys can only pass watches back and forth.

Looks like most models have plateaued in the last 2 weeks, also looking at grey websites sales have slowed down. Not surprising after the parabolic rise.

Where do Daytona's go from here, upwards I would think. I base this on the chances of buying one from an AD without a good relationship. Most aren't in that position, and it's hard to get on the list for any Rolex now, let alone a Daytona.

I am not sure about Daytonas....but, watch out, the Dukes are going to corner the entire frozen orange juice market!

As the economies trajectory (to what seems like outer space) starts to stall out it will be interesting to watch what happens to the values of all luxury goods.

I fully agree with this. I believe things will get to a point were it competes in an extremely limited market. Nonetheless, I believe it has already gotten to an unsustainable point so it’s everybody’s guess right now.

I thought I saw another thread talking about Daytona value. (But I could be wrong)

Maybe do a search. Lots of good information on the forum.

It's going to be $100k by end of the year!

You need to buy all the SS Daytonas that you can get your hands on before its too late!

That's why I'm selling my apt and retirement fund and plowing my money into Daytona and double my money. You'd be silly not to do the same!

Everyone is doing it!

Buy Buy Buy
Sell you House
Sell your Wife
Cash out your 401k/Pension
Buy all the Daytonas you can!

Tesla shares have nothing on Rolex in terms of investment potential
There is no bubble
There is no crash coming
The only place Rolex prices are going is up, up and away
