Happy Father's Day

Ah... Father's Day
One of my favorite holidays.
My family must like me a whole lot because I got this:

Canon EOS 500D (T1i)

Now I need to buy a mini tripod for stills and close ups and a monopod to help with taking pics on the go. Then I need a zoom lens and a macro lens and a remote control and...
I can see this getting out of hand.

And since I was taking pictures OF cameras I thought I'd share a pic of my old film camera that my father gave to me when I left Maine. He had it for years and used it when he was amateur photographer in the 70's doing weddings and some portraits. It's completely manual and easy to get some cool effects.

Minolta SRT 101 (Man I love that old camera)

So enough about me.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY EVERYONE
Share your stories of family love, gifts and gestures of appreciation for all you do.

Wow that's quite something.

I got a paperback copy of Roger Moore's autobiog...not in the same league but it was something I wanted and the fact that Claire knew it meant even more than the item itself

That's a great gift that will bring you years of pleasure Bill. Happy Father's Day to all you daddys. BTW, that SRT101 brings back a ton of memories.

Happy Father's day, Jim. Yes......it wouldn't matter if something cost next to nothing if it was something someone knew we really wanted. That's where the real "gift" lies. Enjoy your day, buddy!
