Would you do this trade...

I am considering trading a BNIB DJ41 126334 rhodium/jubilee/fluted plus a 1969 Datejust Thunderbird ref. 1625 with original bracelet in excellent condition for a 2002 16710 Pepsi w/ box and papers in excellent condition and I get $1K in cash.

Would you do this trade?

Values seem ballpark appropriate. Doing it or not is of course down to preference.

Nah, I'd wear that Datejust 41 more because it's a classier piece. And you have a nice vintage in the 1625. Also not a fan of the 5 digit pepsi, though, so there's that. Down to preference as Oryz said.

No. I like the Datejust more and think it’s more versatile.

I don't feel the five digit is equal to a modern 126X six digit watch in terms of bracelet, power reserve and accuracy. But if you want a five digit piece and you have evaluated the watch for completeness of the set, condition and price, and if that completeness of the set, condition and price is a go for you then I say do this trade.

I have a GMT 16710 and it’s an amazing watch. I am not a fan of the two watches you have but I won’t do that trade. Two for one is not good imho and even if the 16710 is a very nice watch in terms of build quality it’s a step back compared to your DJ 41 (mainly the bracelet and clasp).

Trading one of the best combinations on a BNIB DJ 41 for a 20 year old Pepsi… I’d say NO as well. Unless you really really love that particular Pepsi reference. Personally, I don’t find it desirable at all.

I think I would do that….but I like a Rolex sports watch over a datejust even a rare one like the thunderbird.

Not for me. I think what you have is more interesting. But that’s me.
