Incoming

I know there are many more expensive and highly regarded incoming posts on this forum but this was a huge personal achievement and I’m very happy to share my excitement with a community that I truly enjoy being a part of.

I am genuinely honored and blessed to have had the opportunity to buy the Vacheron Constantin 4500V. Over the course of waiting for this beautiful piece over the last 9 months, now considered a relatively short waiting period for it, was one filled with a lot of anticipation and excitement. I never had the opportunity of seeing the 4500V in person before putting my name on the list and eventually purchasing it.

I made the tough decision to part ways with my Rolex Submariner 41 126610 and DJ 41 Blue Dial to fund the purchase. Although I love both of those watches, specifically the Sub, and was hesitant to do it at first, I can safely say that Vacheron is just on another level, in my opinion, when it comes to finishing and the overall quality of their timepieces.

The versatility of this watch provides with the three, included straps and the quick change system is truly game-changing and was a huge selling point for me. In fact, haven’t taken it off the rubber since I bought it! As cliche as it is to say in regards to this piece, the blue dial is mesmerizing and reacts to the light in a myriad of ways - from a shimmering blue to a midnight blue, black and even purple.

Moreover, the experience that I had at my local VC boutique, Zadok Jewelers, was incredible. They carry numerous brands, including Cartier, ALS, Omega, and VC amongst several others and although I’ve been blessed with purchasing multiple Rolexes, I’ve never been treated so kindly and patiently as I did by the staff at Zadok, and in particular their Director of Sales, Frank Leuth. It’s truly a breath of fresh air as nowadays you walk into a Rolex AD and either you get a few eye rolls or ignored altogether by the sales associates in certain shops. If you’re in Houston, be sure to check them out!

Also, a big shoutout to my wife who, amongst her other amazing qualities, always is my tag-team partner in these watch hunts and is as invested, if not more, than I am.

They say part of the fun is the chase, and of course it is. But the fun of having it on the wrist is unparalleled. Here’s to many more years of wearing our favorite watches in good health and I hope we all continue to benefit from the fun and camaraderie of this community.

Congrats, nice Vacheron! I would not sacrifice my Datejust 41 blue in this way.

Congrats, This could easily make me a one watch guy with those strap configurations. I haven't been to Zadok in years but this is making me want to stop by.

Congratulations on the watch. Did you get from Zadok Houston? I inquired about that watch over a year ago and they told me I needed to spend $15k before going on the wait list.

Very nice, congrats!

If you have photos with different strap combos, it would be cool to see them.
