5204p

This iteration was discontinued a few years ago. Any current members own this masterpiece and if so can tell me the lume color (blue or green) and weight? Although it’s platinum it’s on alligator strap so probably isn’t too heavy..

I have tried on both the white and black dial at ADs and seriously considered purchasing one many years, but decided not to. I can't comment on the lume, but the weight is hefty but not too heavy. I would compare it to a 5270 or 5905 weight.

Thanks!!! It’s honestly one of the most stunning, timelessly classic timepieces. I’m definitely smitten with the black dial, platinum version but the price, ouch, but I understand why it’s so expensive!!!

5204p black dial is an exit watch, if there is such a thing. Pure bliss.

Mostly the same as a 5970, but thicker. While discontinued, you can still get them NOS for about the going rate of the current 5204r.

For people who don’t like the “hockey puck” effect, keep in mind that this is 1mm smaller than a 5270, and about 1.5mm thicker.

5970p ~$200k
5204p ~$300k

50% more for the split functionality. If you like it, I’d go for it. I’ve never owned one, but had the opportunity to try one. I like the 5270 better.
