Got the SD on a Bond NATO.....

I'm really digging the feel. Very comfortable, I don't generally like the NATO straps due to the thinness, but I will give this one a try. I certainly like the look. Wish they did the zulu in this stripe. Nope no picture.

Well JJ's gonna ban us all,but I kinda like the NATO myself sometimes.

I've never experienced any stretch when they're wet. They will get dirty though.
Something to keep in mind for what it's worth...I've read that the spring bars take additional stress with the NATO. There have been reports of the spring bar bending. I've never experienced this myself.
I'm guessing one of the reasons the Royal Marines had the spring bars welded on their 5513/5517s

Nato on a 16800

I plan on wearing this setup white water rafting next w/e. A bunch of the guys on another forum use the zulu/nato config with no worries. What I'm looking for is watch retention, if I break one springbar it won't be lost. I doubt I will break one though. Thanks for the feedback.

Rolex looks great on a NATO But, be careful. I had my 14060M on a Bond NATO and one of the spring bars popped out while wrestling with some guy. Luckily, the watch didn't come all the way loose, I stopped and grabbed it before it did

I HAD to take my Bond NATO off last night, a couple of guys at work were giving me a hard time for having my expensive Rolex on a cheap piece of fabric - made me feel a bit guilty I must admit. There's no doubt the Oyster looks better, but it's nice to switch things up every now and then. I also have a black NATO, but it does nothing for me at all. I wore it for two days after I recieved it and I haven't looked at it since.

I find the NATO strap very appealing but that is a personal choice. It makes the Bond watch and there is a James Bond in any of us here I think. (Except the Kiwi). And, most important of all, your Sub looks different from the other 10 million

I'm with Frans here, I like the NATO strap for a different change, and it is actually rather comfortable. Looks good

Having just taken the bracelet off my GMT to give it a clean, I reckon that my arm would come off before the pins gave way on the bracelet. So I can't see why you'de want to replace all that steel with a piece of canvas that stays wet, (you shake the drops off the steel strap!).
(BTW my seiko quartz 100m looks good on the Nato strap, pretty crappy bracelet to start with though)

The NATO is the style. I have no idea where that orginated. The "bond" is the color scheme. There are many sources and color options. Heck, they even have "heavy duty" hardware. Then there are the zulu/maratec bands which are really heavy duty. You may already know about those so I'll shut up and sit down.
