GIRARD PERREGAUX 1966 Dual Time question
What hand are the pushers for on this watch? Obviously they can be used to add or remove 1hr, but is it for the GMT hand (making it a "caller" GMT) or for the 12hr hand (making it a "traveller" GMT)?

There is no such thing as a "GMT hand"
The Dual-time GP has a 24 hr hand that would be set to whatever fixed time-zone you choose. The 12 hour hand is "jumped" either forward or back using one or the other of the two pushers.

Most of the articles I read stated:
"GP presents a very intuitive quickset function for the local time, controlled by pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock, while home time is set traditionally via the crown at 3" Without stating which was the home time. I finally found one article that stated the pushers change the 24 hour, red, hand. |
