B&M Winding Issue

I have a Baume & Mercier Capeland chronograph with the ETA 7753 movement. The watch is only 3-4 years old and does not get a ton of wear but recently when I wind it - which I do almost daily - the winding weight that I can see through the see through back spins. I feel more resistance than normal but after I wear the watch for a day or two the winding returns to normal.

The easy solution is to wear it more often, which I have been doing, but was curious if this is bad for the watch. It keeps great time (love the ETA 7753!) but my watchmaker wants to recondition. Is it necessary?

Thanks
