Good question. I don't think I've ever seen one.

No, there's no TT or gold Explorer II models ever made. Why? only Rolex knows.

My favorite watches are the TT Rolexes.

But the truth of the matter is that the sports Rolex models are supposed to be "tool" watches. SS is the way to go for these.

I guess one could say the Explorer models have remained true to this mantra.

Well they dont make it, but here's how you could fraken one...
  • Obtain a 18KT YG Twinlock crown.
  • Get a 18KT & Steel Oyster GMT II bracelet...somehow.
  • Also, buy 18KT hour hand, minute hand and second hand.
  • Hour markers surrounded in 18KT, from Sub or GMT.
  • Thats it for as "legitimate" goes...

Yellow Gold writing on the dial would be a problem, as would an 18KT YG Explorer bezel...neither exist.

Like I said, It would be a FrakenRolex!

True but curious that Rolex produce TT models for he other tool watches like Subs, GMTs and Daytonas but no this model. Maybe in Basel 2010 we'll see a TT Explorer II and a TT Milgauss?
