1970s Rolex Cellini Questions
Hello, this Cellini was handed down to me a while ago. It was purchased in the 1970s. I do not have any official papers for it.
I was told by my mother (it was her fathers) that there were only around 20 of these made. I found some issues on the watch. The "Cellini" is at an angle - were these possibly hand stamped onto the dial, and this is a defect? There is also no "swiss" on the dial, just on the clasp. I found a similar watch here, but it has a different band and the "swiss" is on the dial. I attached some images. Please let me know what you think. I do not know if this has ever been recased or redialed, but I would not think so. Anything, anyone? I tried to open the back, but failed a few times and I don't want to scratch anything.
